My name is Ton Put (Tony) and working since Jan ’91 in the international transportation business.

My basic attitude is to listen to the needs of the customer and his customer. You tell me/ us what you are looking for. I will be delighted & I will be inspired to bring you added values through shipping/ freight forwarding/ analyzing SCM etc.

You hire market knowledge with me as temporary consultant, however, I can also participate in Tender teams (RFQs). I am a member of the Africa Transportation Group – Africa Supply Chain. My focus: Less costs/ a better service to the customers.

In the past I have working at SME and Multinationals. I was visiting our customers, on a daily base. I was responsible for customer loyalty and double digit growth: Keep, get & grow of SME’s in the early years and latest 2 decades Major or Key accounts. Their spent between 100k and 2,5 mio.

I started working for 3 years, as an inside sales employee at January 1991 at Schenker (Scansped) and I was in the army in 1989 – 1990 as obligatory military service.

The latest 2 decades at TNT Express winning new traffic lanes for Key Accounts was my main target, together with keeping the high customer satisfaction.

The blue banana stands for the enormous variety of business in Europe. 80% Of the European business is based in the blue banana area or is sent through this area.

Former employee of Scansped, multinational; A Swedish company in the 90’s already focused on Delivery-On-Time for Groupage. Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Germany, Benelux, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, United Kingdom. Starting up in Baltic and Russia. Cooperation with Wilson Air and Wilson SeaFreight. (Sea Air LCL/ FCL). Owned by Bilspedition and acquired by Schenker.

Followed by Malenstein (acquired by Harry Vos), specialist in Huckepack Netherlands – Rail & Road. Italy & Nordics vice versa.

Followed by SME: DH Trans, Germany -> The Netherlands. Baden-Wuerttemberg -> The Netherlands (inbound focused) and German speaking area of France. Later acquired by Huettemann Group.

Followed by TNT Express (Australian/ Dutch multinational), before the acquisition by Fedex (American). Specialized in deferred & express. Due time delivery worldwide for global express, parcels, freight & mail. Value added service instead best price. Customer base: from small (SME) to key accounts of the Benelux, often listed at the stock exchange ans also including the Ministry of Defense and International Universities.
